Rainfall infiltration can change the slopes original equilibrium state,in order to explore the water movement characteristics in the process of rainfall infiltration in situ and on the spoil slope,we repeated the staining tracing test on an abandoned soil site and compared the differences in the staining area ratio of the soil profile in the vertical direction and the water movement characteristics before and after infiltration and analyzed between the in-situ and disposal slopes. The results showed:(1)In situ slope water infiltration is dominated by matrix flow, and a small amount of preferential flow is initiated by biological channels. The vertical uniform infiltration degree of water at the depth of 0~50 cm is high, and it shows non-uniform flow along the side with small volume weight as the depth increases.Below the depth of 50 cm,the average area ratio was negatively correlated with the depth.(2)There is no preferential flow on the non-vegetated disposal slopes and the horizontal diffusion flow along the surface layer of the slope soil is high, the average staining area ratio remains 0 below 20 cm depth, with no staining characteristics, the vegetated disposal slopes have preferential infiltration of water along the plant roots and stems, and the vertical infiltration is more active.(3)The stained area ratio and the wetted zone feature can well capture the non-uniform information of the water infiltration on the slopes;at the same time, the root system changes the degree of pore development of the soil, forms the internal intertwined reticulation structure, lowers the soil capacity, increases water infiltration, and contributes to the enhancement of the water infiltration.Strengthening the ecological restoration of vegetation in abandoned field is beneficial to increasing the soil fixation and water retention capacity and stability of slope.
