Hydraulic Conductivity Curve of Unsaturated Loess in Zichang Area of Shaanxi Province
Some laboratory tests were conducted to study the permeability characteristics of unsaturated loess in Zichang area of Shaanxi Province,such as conventional test,X-ray diffraction,laboratory permeability test and soil-water characteristic curve test.And then it gets the physical properties,mineral composition and its percentage,saturated permeability coefficient and soil-water characteristic curve of the loess.The relationship between volumetric water content and hydraulic conductivity is obtained by combining observed data and statistical model.The results showed that there is a significant difference in the relationship between hydraulic conductivity and volumetric water content before and after the air intrusion during the soils off the wet.Finally,the infiltration mechanism of the loess is elaborated by using double electrical layer model of soils.Thus,it provides the basis for local engineering design and construction.
