Characteristics of Flood Evolution and Their Contribution Factors in Gedong Basin of Loess Hilly Region in Western Shanxi Province
In order to investigate the characteristics of flood evolution and its contribution factors in the Gedong basin of loess hilly region in western Shanxi, long series data,M-K test method and comparative method of slope changing ratio of cumulative quantity were used to analyze the measured flood data from 1964 to 2015 in Gedong hydrological station. The results show that at the same level of rainfall and rainfall intensity, human activities effectively attenuated the flood elements;flood volume and peak flow attenuation were 7.69 %-81.79 %,2.42 %-78.78 %,and the hysteresis growth rate was above 31.7%;under different levels of rainfall and rainfall intensity, human activities had the greatest impact on flooding factors at 40-50 mm and 8-11 mm/h;taking 1980-1989 as the natural base period, the contribution rates of precipitation and human activities to flood changes were 33.09% and 66.91% respectively between 1990-1999,25.28% and 74.72 % respectively between 2000-2015.This indicated that since the 1990,the changes of flood were mainly affected by human activities. The results can provide basis for local flood control and disaster reduction.
