Ecological Flow Analysis of Typical Rivers in the Northern Foothills of the Qinling Mountains Based on Multiple Hydrological Methods
In order to scientifically determine the ecological flow of the Fenghe River,a typical river in the northern foothills of the Qinling Mountains, ensure the safety of the ecological environment, and rationally develop water resources of the northern foothills of the Qinling Mountains, eight hydrological methods, including the Tennant method,90%guarantee method, method of average discharge in the driest month,Tessman method, annual distribution method,Tex-as method, typical hydrologic frequency year method and NGPRP,were used to calculate the ecological flow value of Fenghe River using the continuously measured monthly runoff data of the Hydrological Station of Qindu Town in Fenghe River from 1953 to 2013.Through analysis and comparison, the Texas method performed well in terms of satisfaction degree and hydrological rhythm. Finally, the Texas method was recommended as the calculation method of ecological flow in Fenghe River, and the recommended value of ecological flow was given. The results of this study can provide a scientific basis for the development and utilization of water resources in Qinling Area, and are also of great significance to the health of regional river ecosystems.
