Simulation of Drainage Performance of Garage Roof Siphon Drainage Collection System Based on SWMM
A simulation method based on the stormwater management model(SWMM)was proposed to investigate the drainage performance of a garage roof siphon drainage collection system in a residential community located in Chongqing. The reliability and accuracy of the model were confirmed through the utilization of the runoff coefficient method and field-measured data.Subsequently, the infiltration and drainage processes of the siphon drainage collection system were simulated and analyzed under various design return periods. The results show that the model is capable of accurately representing the hydraulic properties and drainage capabilities of the siphon system within the designated study region. Moreover, the siphon drainage pipe can successfully initiate the siphon state during the 5-year design return peri-od.The system effectively mitigates water retention in the drainage layer of the garage roof without any discernible pon-ding occurrences. However, the size design of drainage channel exhibits certain imperfections, including insufficient fill-ing.An optimization design strategy that gradually increases the drainage channel's size can substantially enhance the fill-ing and augment the drainage utilization rate.
