Study of Influence of Different Base Heights on Mechanical Characteristics of Asphalt Concrete Core Dam
The influence of different base heights on the mechanical characteristics of asphalt concrete core dam is studied. The Duncan Zhang E-B model is used as the constitutive model of the dam body and core wall to simulate the dam construction and water storage process.Five calculation schemes are proposed according to the height relationship between the base and the core wall, and the mechanical characteristics of rockfill body and core wall under different base heights are compared. The results show that the higher the base, the smaller the vertical displacement, the first and third principal stresses of the dam rockfill body, and the larger the first and third principal stresses of the core wall, the smaller the vertical displacement will be with the increase of the foundation. On this basis, the entropy method is used to build a weight model of the foundation impact, and quantify the impact of the foundation height change on different parts of the dam.The impact of the foundation height change on the core wall(weight 56.06%)is the most significant. It is sugges-ted that engineering design and safety evaluation should consider the impact of the foundation height change on the first principal stress state of the core wall. The research results can provide reference for the design and construction of asphalt concrete core rockfill dam.
