Study of Impact on Channel Flow Characteristics by Dredging in Yichang-Dabujie Reach of Yangtze River
In order to study the impact of dredging on channel dynamics in the Yichang to Dabujie section of the Yan-gtze River,two-dimensional flow model of the unstructured grid was used to analyze the change of hydrodynamic charac-teristics under the action of outlet water level dropping and dredging, considering the downstream water level decline effect to the upstream. The result shows that on the stable river, when the downstream sandy river water level decreases by 2 m,the effect of the falling water level on the upstream decreases gradually,it decreases 0.004 m at Chenerkou, and 0.001 m at Yichang. The gradient of partially area is increasing, the main affect area is belowing Yaogang; The dredging can en-hance the depth of the channel and alleviate the steep slope in the channel, but the water level control capability are re-duced;When the water level decreased by 2 m and dredging, the water level decreases 0.004 m to Zhoujiahe, water level drop in Yichang increases to 0.002 m.This results can provide technical support for the channel scale upgrading and channel maintenance to gravel sand reach of the Yangtze River.
