Reliability-based Optimization Study of Adding and Subtracting Pumps in Parallel Pumping Units
Multiple pumps in parallel frequency conversion water supply is the most important operation mode in sec-ondary water supply system. But in practical application,it leads to the poor energy saving effect because the working condition analysis is not been comprehensive and the pump group is mismatched. Therefore, this paper introduces the re-liability partition and proposes the control logic of adding and subtracting pumps for frequency-constant pressure parallel pumping units, and optimizes the operation of frequency-constant pressure parallel pumping units based on this logic,so that the energy efficiency and reliability of pumping units can be improved when they are running. Finally,an example is used to verify the energy-saving effect of parallel pumping unit reliability optimization measures, and the optimized fully variable frequency control scheme and the traditional fully variable frequency control scheme is compared. The results show that the optimized scheme is more energy efficient than the traditional scheme, which can be used as a reference for the energy-saving operation of secondary water supply parallel pumping unit.
