Impact of Land Use and Land Cover Change on Runoff in Shiyanghe River Basin
Land use and land cover change(LUCC)are critical for sustainable watershed development and water re-source management. In this study,SWAT model and land use vector maps in 5 periods(1980,1990,2000,2010,2020)were used to quantitatively evaluate the spatial-temporal dynamic effects of LUCC on runoff in Shiyanghe River Basin. The results show that the area of cultivated land and construction land increased year by year from 1980 to 2020,while the coverage area of forest land, grassland and water area decreased overall. The simulated annual runoff in the five peri-ods was 97.3 mm,101.8 mm,84.4 mm,77.1 mm and 71.5 mm.The SWAT model has good applicability in Shiyanghe River Basin, and the simulation results under different land use scenarios have good consistency in the rate period and val-idation period. In the past 40 years, surface runoff decreased and groundwater recharge increased in Shiyanghe River ba-sin,and groundwater recharge and runoff were the largest in rainy season.
