Assessment of Hydrological and Water Environmental Effects of Low Impact Development Facilities
As one of the core concepts of sponge city, low impact development(LID)aims to minimize the impact of land use on water resources, reduce the city's dependence on traditional water resources, and relieve the pressure on water resources.Based on the SWMM model, the hydrological and water environment processes of the combination of three LID facilities, namely permeable pavement, rain garden and green roof, were simulated in Miaotou Chung flood drainage area in Guangzhou, and the effects of spatial distribution changes of LID facilities on urban hydrology and water environ-ment were analyzed. The results show that in a single LID facility, the best control of urban hydrological effect is perme-able pavement, and the best control of urban water environment effect is rain garden. When the combination of LID facili-ties is deployed, permeable pavement+green roof+rain garden(S7)has the best effect on reducing hydrology and wa-ter environment effects, and the reduction effect on runoff is better than the peak flood flow. The layout of LID facilities in the upstream has the best effect on reducing the runoff and the total amount of pollutants, which can effectively reduce the risk of flooding and improve the urban water environment.
