Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Nutrients in Dalongtan Reservoir,Enshi,Hubei Province
In order to study the nutrient elements and their changes in river reservoirs, the water environmental fac-tors of Dalongtan Reservoir in Enshi,Hubei Province were investigated for a whole year. The contents of ammonia nitro-gen(NH+4-N),nitrite nitrogen(NO-2-N),nitrate nitrogen(NO-3-N),total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorus(TP)and phosphate(PO3-4)in 10 typical locations of the reservoir were investigated respectively. The spatial interpolation method was used to conduct data processing and variance analysis for each index of water quality in the reservoir. The temporal and spatial variation characteristics of reservoir water quality were analyzed. The results show that nitrogen nitrate,ni-trite,total nitrogen, total phosphorus and orthophosphate in the reservoir were higher in the main stream than in the trib-utaries;Ammonia nitrogen was higher in the tributaries than in the main stream;Nitrite nitrogen was higher in the lower stream than in the upper and middle stream;Orthophosphate was higher in the upper stream than in the lower stream; The ammonia nitrogen content showed a change of"increasing before flood and decreasing after flood".The total phos-phorus content was higher in summer than in winter. The ratio of N to P in the reservoir ranges from 20∶1 to 40∶1,and P is the main limiting factor of algae proliferation. The research results are of great significance for controlling eu-trophication of reservoir water and ensuring regional drinking water safety It is of great significance to study the pollution load and distribution characteristics of nitrogen and phosphorus in reservoir for eutrophication control and drinking water safety.
