Groundwater Environment Changes and Control Factors in Songhua River Basin of Sanjiang Plain
Aiming at the obvious degradation of groundwater quality in agricultural areas of China in recent years, which seriously threatens the safety of the water environment and human health, this paper selected the Songhua River Basin of the Sanjiang Plain,a typical agricultural area,as the study area.Based on the shallow groundwater samples col-lected in 2012 and 2022,the entropy weighted water quality index(EWQI)was used to assess the change of groundwater quality. The changes in hydrochemical characteristics of groundwater were analysis by Piper diagrams. The Gibbs dia-grams and anion/cation ratio analyses were comprehensively used to identify the main controlling factors for groundwater environmentchange. The results show that the groundwater quality in the study area decreased significantly, and the hydrochemical type evolved from the HCO3-Ca·Mg type to the mixed HCO3-Ca·Mg and SO4·Cl-Ca·Mg type. The hydrochemical characteristics in the study area were mainly controlled by water-rock interactions, and were also influ-enced by alternating cation adsorption. In addition, anthropogenic inputs such as agricultural activities, manure and sew-age discharges have increased impacts on groundwater quality in the study area in 2022,which was the main factor con-tributing to the decline in groundwater quality. Therefore,in the future, research on the impact of regional anthropogenic inputs on groundwater quality should be strengthened and relevant pollutant discharge management policies should be for-mulated.The results of the study can provide theoretical references for the sustainable development and utilization of groundwater resources in the Songhua River Basin of the Sanjiang Plain.
