Aiming at large-scale communication failures in distribution automation systems during extreme weather,this paper proposes a fault location method for active distribution networks that takes into account Feeder Terminal Unit(FTU)signal loss.The method is based on the existing fault location model using optimization algorithms,and it adds decision variables indicating whether the FTU overcurrent signals are lost,incorporates FTU signal loss constraints,and modifies the fitness function.The model is transformed into an integer linear programming model and solved by commer-cial solvers.Finally,tests under different fault scenarios verify that the proposed method maintains high fault tolerance e-ven with large-scale FTU signal loss.
