Simulation of Urban Inundating Process by Rainfall-runoff Model Based on Cellular Automata
Aiming at the existing runoff model based on cellular automata(CA)that cannot be readily applied to com-plex urban environments,a novel CA-based rainfall-runoff model(RRCA)is proposed to simulate flood inundation. The model includes a fine-grained runoff generation process that considers 12 urban scenarios instead of a single land-use type, and a catchment process determined by the new transition rule for water supply and demand(WS-WD)transition rule. The RRCA is compared with the CA-based flood model(E2DCA).The results show that the RRCA and E2DCA are in good agreement with the baseline model, and R2 is greater than 0.9;The RRCA performs better in terms of simulation efficiency and accuracy. In urban flood management, the areas with drainage difficulties can be effectively identified through accurate simulation so that timely measures can be taken.
