Dynamic and Static Multi-condition Service Performance of Radial Gate Structure Based on Simulation Analysis
The safety performance of the large surface radial gates is related to the safe operation of the whole hub project.Based on a surface radial gate of a certain hydropower station,a 3D simulation model of the radial gate was estab-lished.The deformation and stress distribution of the radial gate under different conditions of static water were studied.Furthermore,the fluid-structure coupling model under dynamic water was established.The steady and transient safety characteristics of the radial gate under dynamic water was studied,and the safety performance deterioration rule of the ra-dial gate structure under nonuniform loading was explored.Finally,the accuracy of the model was verified by field tests.The results show that the stress of the radial gate is large in both static and dynamic water,and the dangerous point of stress concentration is located at the lower edge of the surface plate of the surface radial gate,but all are within the safety margin.The nonuniform loading of the double hydraulic cylinder will lead to the deterioration of the safety performance of the radial gate structure,and the excessive nonuniform loading will even cause the failure and collapse of the radial gate.
