Influence of Splitter Blades on Pressure Fluctuation of Hydraulic Turbine
In order to reveal the effect of splitter blades on the performance of low specific speed hydraulic turbine,this paper chooses a low specific speed centrifugal pump(ns=33)reversed for hydraulic turbine as the research object,and designs four kinds of impellers with different number of splitter blades(composite impeller).Numerical simulation and comparative analysis of the original impeller and four kinds of composite impellers are carried out by CFX software.The results show that the four new models have improved efficiency and head at optimal working conditions,among which the performance of the hydraulic turbine is the best when the number of splitting blades Z=6+6,and the efficien-cy and head increase by 2.23%and 6.83%,respectively at the optimal operating conditions;The pressure distribution inside the impeller is more even;The vortex area of the impeller inlet is weakened;The pressure coefficient and pulsation amplitude at each monitoring point are smaller than those of the original model,which indicates that the splitting blades can reduce the pressure pulsation inside the hydraulic turbine and improve the stability of the turbine operation.The re-search results can provide reference for improving the performance of low specific speed hydraulic turbines.
