Monitoring Capability Assessment of Six Satellite Precipitation Products During Typhoon Doksuri
Satellite precipitation data with high spatial and temporal resolution is crucial for monitoring high-intensity precipitation from typhoon and preventing flood caused by rainstorm.According to the high-intensity precipitation caused by Typhoon Doksuri in 2023,the temporal and spatial distribution error characteristics of six satellite precipitation prod-ucts,GSMaP_MVK,GSMaP_Gauge,IMERG_Early,IMERG_Late,FY-2G and FY-2H,were analyzed and evaluated based on the observation data of surface weather stations. The results show that the six satellite precipitation products perform well on the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of the whole typhoon precipitation.GSMaP and FY2G per-form best comprehensively,IMERG performs well on low-intensity precipitation, while FY-2H has a poor evaluation effect;GSMaP and FY-2G have strong monitoring capabilities on the period of high-intensity precipitation, while there are still uncertainties in all the satellite precipitation products; The evaluation results of near-real-time satellite precipitati-on products are better than those of real-time satellite precipitation products, due to the different retrieval algorithms and the data calibratation.FY-2G performs best among real-time satellite precipitation products.
