Design and Implementation of Intelligent Generator Excitation System for Hydropower Plant
To solve the issue of low intelligence,integration and single function for excitation system in hydro power plant,this paper introduces the design and implementation of intelligent excitation system for generator excitation.Intel-ligent distributed measurement and control device(IDMCD)has been developed,which consists of intelligent power con-trol cabinet,demagnetization acquisition device and high-precision sensors.IDMCD acquires numbers of key parameters for excitation system like demagnetization current,the intelligent control is realized by assisting the excitation regulator and comprehensive information management system(CIMS).By analyzing the collected data and conducting analysis through CIMS,the state detection and fault diagnosis of excitation system can be achieved,thereby realizing the integrat-ed management.Moreover,comprehensive functions such as early warning suggestions and comprehensive analysis can be achieved by analyzing data.The proposed excitation system has the advantages of intelligence,integration and compre-hensive function,which can greatly increase the reliability of hydro generator unit.
