Investigation in Soil Erosion of Jiuzhuang Town in Xifeng County
With ARCGIS9.2 as a platform, soil erosion of Jiuzhuang town in Xifeng County was investigated by field survey data analysis in the present work. The results showed that the strong erosion area mainly located in the northwest and along the Wujiang River, and labeled as the key rehabilitation region, which accounted for 9.53％ of the total. Moderate erosion degree accounted for 52.97％, which should be the main erosion type and distributed over the town in mosaic. Mild erosion area accounted for 20.37％ , and sparsely embedded in the territory. Micro erosion accounted for 13.45％ , mainly distributed in the central and southeastern part of the surrounding floodplain. The conclusion is of significance for the soil and water conservation planning in this town.
