Measurement and Forecast of Aboveground Biomass of Secondary Quercus fabri Forest in Duyun City
Aboveground biomass of secondary Quercus fabri forest in Dahe Township of Duyun City in Guizhou Province was investigated. The results showed that the biomass of individual tree and its components were increased with the elevation of diameter grade and height of trees. The individual biomass varied depending on its diameter or components of trees. The distribution rule of biomass was stem > living branch > dried branch. Proportion of stem biomass was the highest, and more than 72% . Relationship between the biomass of individuals or different components of the secondary forest ( W) and the breast-height diameter square or height ( D2 H ) could be well fitted using the power function model W = bO ( D2 H )bl. Additionally, the accuracies of three regression models fitted were all high, and could be preliminarily used to predict aboveground biomasses of secondary Quercus fabri forest in surveyed area.
