Research Progress of Seedless Chestnut Rose (Rosa kweichonensis var.sterilis)
Seedless chestnut rose (Rosa kweichonensis var.sterilis) demonstrated a great exploitation potential and application prospect in Guizhou province.Compared with common chestnut rose (Rosa roxburghii Tratt),its sugar content was higher (+ 13.3％),while the tannin content was obviously lower (-71.7％).The content of vitamin C (1 133 mg/100 g) was very high.Currently,the morphology traits,relatives,fruit characters,pharmacological properties,as well as propagation by cutting and tissue culture of this elite germplasm were summarized.
