Investigation of Bryophyte Species Diversity in Renhuai City,Guizhou Province
The diversity of bryophytes in Renshuai has been thoroughly assessed, using four evaluation indexes:richness, species similarity analysis, floristic composition analysis, and ecological community analysis through the transect method. The moss population in Renhuai City consisted 469 species, which were classified into 3 phyla,4 classes,30 orders,68 families, and 166 genera(including 4 subspecies, and 10 varieties).Of these,364 species(including 6 varieties)of mosses belonged to 2 classes,15 orders,42 families, and 125 genera, while 103 species(including 4 subspecies and 4 varieties)of liverworts were in 1 class,13 orders,24 families, and 39 genera.Additionally, there were 2 species of hornwort in 1 class,2 orders,2 families, and 2 genera. The study also identified a significant number of new distribution groups. The flora in Renhuai City was predominantly East Asian in nature, with temperate characteristics and a strong connection to tropical components.Compared to Kuangkuanshui and Xishui subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest national Nature Reserve,Renhuai City had a higher richness of bryophyte and showed more similarity in terms of genus and species. The moss in the area mainly consisted of lithophytic ecological types, with the leaf epiphytic type being the least common, and there were also typical aquatic types. This research offers a theoretical foundation for the species composition, spatial arrangement, and resource allocation of bryophytes in Renhuai City, which can be used for their protection, and for the rational utilization and development of these organisms.
