Effects of Golubevia pallescens on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Tobacco
To explore the effect of light colored Golubevia pallescens culture solution on seed germination and seedling growth of tobacco. The flue-cured tobacco variety'K326'was as the experimental material,to evaluate their effects of light-colored G.pallescens culture solution on seed germination potential, germination rate, germination index, and root length of tobacco, which soaked in different concentrations(stock solution,1/10 stock solution,1/50 stock solution,1/100 stock solution,1/200 stock solution).Meanwhile, effects of tobacco seedling growth and antioxidant enzyme activities were analyzed after tobacco seedling leaves were sprayed with three concentrations(stock solution,1/50 stock solution, and 1/100 stock solution)of light colored G.pallescens culture solution. The results showed that the germination of tobacco seeds soaked with 1/100 of the original solution was promoted, and which germination potential, germination index and root length were significantly higher than those of the control. After spraying the leaves of tobacco seedlings with 1/50 of the original solution,of which the leaf length, leaf width, and plant height were significantly higher than those of the control. The content of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,and carotenoids was significantly higher than that of the control, significantly reducing the activity of polyphenol oxidoreductase(PPO),and increasing the activity of catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD)activity.G.pallescens culture solution with 1/100 stock solution significantly increased the root activity of tobacco seedlings. In summary,light-colored G.pallescens culture medium could significantly promote tobacco seed germination and root elongation, and significantly promote the growth of tobacco seedlings and improve its antioxidant capacity.
