Study on the enhanced oxygen reduction reaction at core-shell structures of N-Doped TiO2 encapsulated in N-Doped carbon
Oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is the key cathode reaction in fuel cells.Fabricate catalyst with earth-abundant elements instead of platinum is an effective method to reduce the cost of fuel cells.In this work,nitrogen-doped TiO2 encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon(N-TiO2@N-C)was facile fabricated with hydrothermal-calcination procedures.N-TiO2@N-C was characterized by transmission electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrochemical measurements.It exhibits a higher activity for oxygen reduction reaction in alkaline media compared with Pd/C and Pt/C.
