Research advances of transcription factor Ask10p in Saccharomyces cerevisiae
The transcription factor Ask10p of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, also known as Rgc2p,not only plays an important role in cell wall biosynthesis, but also participates in the regulation of oxidative stress as a component of the RNA polymerase II holoenzyme, and also participates in the regulation of osmotic balance as a positive regulator of the aquaglyceroporin Fps1p.In recent years, with the deepening of research,Ask10p has been confirmed to play an important regulatory role in oxidative stress, osmotic stress, acetate and toxic metal ion stress, and xylose metabolism. In this review, the biological functions and current research advances of Ask10p in Saccharomyces cerevisiae were presented, and the research directions were also prospected in order to provide reference for future research directions.
