2024年夏季(6-8月)北半球大气环流特征为:极涡呈单极型,中心略偏向西半球一侧,强度与常年同期平均强度相当,中高纬呈4波型分布.影响我国的冷空气较常年偏弱,副热带高压位置偏西、强度偏强,台风生成数较常年同期偏少3.1个.8级以上大风过程共出现9次,其中4次为入海气旋大风过程,5次为台风大风过程,台风"格美"及"珊珊"缓慢移动造成大风过程持续时间长.比较明显的海雾过程出现7次,其中4次出现在6月,3次出现在7月.我国近海浪高2.0m以上的大浪过程有12次,最大浪高4.0 m以上的3次大浪过程均与台风活动有关.海面温度呈逐渐上升趋势.全球其他海域有15个热带气旋生成,北印度洋、中北太平洋各有1个,东北太平洋8个,北大西洋5个.
Summer 2024 marine weather review
The main characteristics of the general atmospheric circulation of the Northern Hemisphere in summer 2024(from June to August)are as follows.The polar vortex is characterized by a unipolar pattern with its center biased towards the Western Hemisphere and its intensity equivalent to the historical average.The circulation in the middle and high latitudes presents a 4-wave pattern.The cold air affecting China is weaker than usual.The subtropical high is much west extended and stronger than usual,and the number of typhoons is 3.1 less than the historical average.There are 9 gale processes above Beaufort wind force scale 8,including 4 processes produced by offshore extratropical cyclones and 5 processes produced by typhoons.The long duration of gale is caused by the slow moving of Typhoon Gaemi and Shanshan.Obvious sea fog processes occur 7 times,including 4 in June and three in July.There are 12 rough sea wave processes with the wave height above 2.0 m in offshore areas of China,and the three large wave processes with the highest wave height above 4.0 m are related to typhoon activities.Sea surface temperatures are gradually rising.There are 15 tropical cyclones in other ocean basins,including one in the northern Indian Ocean and the central North Pacific,respectively,8 in the eastern North Pacific and 5 in the North Atlantic.
