Problems of Old Water Project Archives Management and Countermeasures
In 1997,the Ministry of Water Resources(MWR)formulated the"Regulations on the Management of Archival Materials for Water Infrastructure Projects",which has been revised several times.At present,it achieved the parallel implementation for both water project archives management and project construction on deployment,inspection and assessment at the same time.However,most of China's water projects such as reservoirs were built in the 1960s and 1970s,and the archives of these projects contain rich original and derived data,but due to the limitations of maintain conditions,these archives were in low standardized management and utilization,which resulted in the problem of loss and damage.Based on the current situation of archival data management and utilization of old water project archives,this pa-per analyzes the root causes of problems and puts forward measures and suggestions.
