Construction and Management Issues and Suggestions in Plain Reservoir in Binzhou
Located in the coast of Bohai Sea,Binzhou Municipality is in short of fresh water resources.The construction of plain reservoir has greatly alleviated the water shortage in the northern part of Binzhou and provided water source guarantee for the local economic and social development.Under the new situation,the construction and management of the plain reservoir need to address the new challenges in view of the increasingly tight water resources diversion from Yellow River.This paper summarizes the prominent issues existing in the plain reservoir in terms of Yellow River diversion for water storage,planning and design,ecological protection,operation and management,and furthermore puts forward constructive suggestions for the management.
