Challenges of Water Supply Safety and Countermeasures in Yanggu
In recent years,it has adopted two water sources supply,namely groundwater and Yangtze River water diver-sion in Yanggu County.However,the high fluoride and total hardness in groundwater and the high sulfate content in sur-face water pose a number of challenges to water supply quality.In order to ensure the safety of water supply quality,countermeasures such as protection of underground water source,optimization of water treatment process,monitoring and control of surface water source quality,water allocation management and regulation,publicity,education and participa-tion increase are put forward.Through comprehensive actions,the challenges can be effectively addressed on water sup-ply and quality safety to ensure the water demand of local people in Yanggu County.
