The red culture is a unique revolutionary culture formed by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC during the war years,and is a valuable spiritual asset of the Chinese nation.Ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new era needs to explore,excavate and develop the red spirit connotation gene,analyze the value of red culture from the three dimensions of theoretical value,practical value and time value,integrate red culture into the ideological and political education system of college students,and realize the effect of red culture education as a"compulsory course"for teaching and education.It is not only the inheritance and promotion of red culture,but also the embodiment of cultural education functions,which has very important practical significance and multi-dimensional educational value for college students in the new era.
