In the face of the requirements of global intelligent development in the new era,the intelligent transformation of libraries has come naturally.Under the conditions of new situation,new technology and new demand of intelligent transformation,the United Nations Depository Library,as a global library network,is faced with the transformation of publication dissemination mode and users demand.While passively accepting depository publica-tions,how to utilize the intelligent technology to establish a knowledge sharing network among depository libraries to realize digital depository has become the research focus of depository libraries at home and abroad.It will also become one of the important means to continue the significance and role of the United Nations document depository system in the future.The paper analyzes the dilemmas faced by the United Nations Depository Library Programme by investiga-ting the status quo and problems of the development of United Nations depository libraries at home and abroad,and advocates to crack the problem by promoting the new model of open access,establishing a cooperative mechanism of depository libraries,setting up an online cataloging center and constructing a virtual network of depository library,in order to promote depository libraries to further carry out smart,intelligent and process-oriented United Nations resource construction and service ability.
