Research on the Reading Promotion Service of Public Libraries Assisted by Silver-age volunteers——Taking the Elderly Volunteer Activities of Anshan Library as an Example
Silver age volunteer service is a volunteer service mechanism that focuses on the elderly and plays an important role in today's society.Silver age volunteer service provides a platform for elderly people to utilize their personal abilities and emotional expression,promoting social mutual assistance,care,and inheritance,as well as helping retirees adapt to their social roles as soon as possible,unleash their potential and enhance their sense of social responsibility.The article analyzes the important significance of silver age volunteer service,sorts out the advantages of silver age volunteers participating in volunteer service,and takes the elderly volunteer service of Anshan Library as an example to explore effective ways for silver age volunteers to help promote public library reading services.Based on the problems existing in the process of silver age volunteer service,relevant suggestions are proposed.
