摘要
青岛市图书馆前身为胶澳商埠公立通俗图书馆,其旧址位于青岛市莒县路2 号.馆舍曾是德据时期毛利公司公寓楼,非专门图书馆建筑,建筑风格为欧式,2020 年被列入青岛市历史建筑保护名录.它是继胶澳地区图书馆(1898 年)、尊孔文社藏书楼(1914 年)之后,于 1924 年成立的向市民开放、提供普及读物服务的城市公共图书馆.胶澳商埠公立通俗图书馆(包括改称青岛市立图书馆后),在开办流动书车、建立巡回文库、设立平民夜校等方面做了大量工作,为民国时期图书馆主动式服务树立了良好范例.
Abstract
As the predecessor of Qingdao Library,the old site of Kiaochow Commercial Port Public Library is located at No.2 Juxian Road,Qingdao City.With a European architectural style,the building was once used as a department of Franz Xaver Mauerer's Company during the German occupation period but not specifically built for library.It was included in the Qingdao Historical Architecture Protection List in 2020.It was an urban public library established in 1924,following the Kiaochow District Library(1898)and the Confucius Worship Association Library(1914),which was open to the public and provided popular reading services.The Kiaochow Commercial Port Public Library and the later Qingdao Municipal Library had done a lot of work,such as establishing mobile book carts serv-ice,touring libraries,and setting up civilian evening schools,which set a good example for proactive library services during the Republic of China era.
