Investigation and Research on the Brand Activities for Disabled Readers of Provincial Public Libraries
Establishing brand activities for disabled readers is crucial in addressing the occasional and non-sustainable issues faced by public libraries and providing equal cultural services to them.Through literature investiga-tion,online surveys and online interviews, the paper investigates the brand activities offered to disabled readers in 32 provincial public libraries. It then analyzes several issues including the need to enhance awareness of brand establish-ment,limited types of activities available for disabled readers,a lack of integration between people with and without disabilities, and the necessity to improve cooperation with social organizations. The paper proposes sustainable opera-tional strategies:clarifying activity objectives, segmenting reader needs, constructing a service model from provincial libraries to grassroots level and families and standardizing management operations. These findings aim to provide solu-tions for other provincial public libraries in developing brand activities for disabled readers.
