Providing night time services in public libraries can effectively meet the increasingly strong spirit-ual and cultural needs of people,improve the efficiency of library services,and promote the high-quality development of the night time cultural and tourism industry.The article investigates the current situation of nighttime services in public libraries in China,and takes Jinan City Library's nighttime services as an example to analyze in detail its serv-ice characteristics and existing problems.Then,the paper proposes development strategies for public libraries to enhance their nighttime service capabilities,including establishing a long-term development mechanism,facilitating supply and demand docking mechanisms,exploring socialized operation models,and leveraging the dissemination effects of social platforms.
