This paper discusses the technological renovation process and practical application of the double alkali method desulfurization technique at Zibo Tieying Ltd.Significant innovations and transformations across various desulfurization process elements,including lime slurry preparation,SO2 absorption,gypsum dehydration,process water,and electrical and automatic control systems,have effectively tackled and numerically resolved operational challenges.These challenges include inadequate desulfurization capacity,inefficient filtration,severe crystallization in the tower body and spray pipelines,and complications in maintaining process water balance.The transition from the double alkali method to the lime-gypsum desulfurization process has not only met the production requirements but also significantly reduced the operational costs of desulfurization.
