Combined Determination of Aluminum and Iron in Ferroaluminum
The combined determination of aluminum and iron in ferroaluminum was studied in this article. The sample is dissolved in nitric acid, and the insoluble residue is recovered using a mixed reagent of sodium carbonate and boric acid.Sodium hydroxide reacts with iron ions to form precipitates, the precipitate was collected by filtering operation, and then the ferric hydroxide precipitate was dissolved in hydrochloric acid.Titration of Fe3+using potassium dichromate solution with sodium diphenylamine sulfonate as an indicator.Partial solution was separated, the Al ion in the solution was determinated by EDTA hack titration method. This method was suitable for the determination of 38%-65%aluminum and 35%-62%iron in ferroaluminum. The relative standard deviation ≯0.40%(RSD,n=10)of the results. The analysis results have high accuracy and good precision, which can meet the requirements of analysis and detection.
