Determination of n-cetane Purity by Mass Balance Method
Mass balance method is based on the premise that the total mass fraction of the tested substance is 100%,the organic purity of n-cetane is calculated by gas chromatography area normalization method, the water content is determined by Carl Fischcullen method, the volatile component content is determined by chromatography, and the non-volatile component content is determined by ICP-MS.After deducting the measured impurities, the purity of n-cetane is obtained. This method is the standard method of purity determination, and is widely used in the purity determination of n-hexadecane and other organic compounds.
