Study on Calcination of Limestone with Different Grain Sizes
Experiments on abrasion resistance, thermal explosion, and calcination at different temperatures were conducted on limestone with similar chemical compositions but different grain sizes. The results showed that the larger the grain size of the limestone, the worse its abrasion resistance, the more severe the explosion at high temperatures, and the slower the calcination decomposition rate.At higher temperatures, the decomposition rate of limestone with different grain sizes was faster, and the larger the grain size, the narrower the temperature range for producing higher-quality lime. This experiment provides guidance and recommendations for selecting limestone in the lime calcination process.
