The value of early nutrition management based on Newman system in relieving postoperative pain in patients with endoscopic mucosal resection of intestinal polyps and its effect on nutritional status
Objective To explore the effects of early nutrition management intervention based on Newman system on postoperative pain and nutritional status in patients with endoscopic mucosal resection of intestinal polyps. Methods 115 patients with intestinal polyps who underwent endoscopic mucosal resection in our department were selected as the research objects, and were divided into two groups by random number table method. The control group(n=57)received Newman system nursing combined with oral enteral nutrition program, and the observation group(n=58)received early nutrition management intervention. The gastrointestinal peristalsis function, postoperative pain, nutritional status and the incidence of complications in two groups were observed. Results The improvement range of bowel sound recovery time, anal exhaust time and anal defecation time in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The improvement of postoperative pain degree in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The improvement of nutritional status in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 3.45%(2/58),which was significantly lower than the control group's 19.30%(11/57),and the difference was significant(P<0.05,χ2=7.2030).Conclusions Early nutrition management intervention based on Newman system in patients with endoscopic mucosal resection of intestinal polyps can improve the gastrointestinal peristalsis function and nutritional status of patients, reduce postoperative pain, and reduce the incidence of complications.
