Clinical study of Buqi Wenyang Decoction combined with intermediate frequency electrical stimulation of bladder reflex area in the treatment of urinary retention after stroke
Objective To explore the clinical value of Buqi Wenyang Decoction combined with bladder reflex medium frequency electrical stimulation in the treatment of urinary retention after stroke(URAS).Methods A total of 60 patients with URAS admitted to our hospital from September 2020 to September 2022 were randomly divided into a control group(n=30)and a treatment group(n=30)using a random number table. The control group received conventional treatment methods(acupuncture+electroacupuncture stimulation),while the treatment group received Buqi Wenyang Decoction combined with intermediate frequency electrical stimulation of the bladder reflex zone. After 2 weeks of treatment, the patients were followed up for 6 weeks.Compare the recovery time of spontaneous urination, average hospitalization time, and hospitalization costs between two groups;compare the two groups of urodynamic indicators[maximum detrusor pressure(Pdetmax),maximum bladder volume(VSD),and maximum urethral closure pressure(MUCP)]before and 2 weeks after treatment;and record the occurrence of two groups of adverse reactions. Results Compared with the control group, the treatment group had shorter time to recover spontaneous urination and average hospitalization time, and lower hospitalization costs(P<0.05).At 2 weeks of treatment, the Pdetmax,VSD,and MUCP values of both groups increased, and the treatment group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of Buqi Wenyang Decoction and intermediate frequency electrical stimulation of the bladder reflex zone can improve urodynamics, promote spontaneous urination, and shorten hospitalization time in the treatment of URAS.
