Study on the correlation between the test results of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood and nasal symptoms in patients with allergic rhinitis
Objective To explore and analyze the correlation between the test results of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood and nasal symptoms in patients with allergic rhinitis. Methods A total of 98 patients with allergic rhinitis admitted to Beijing Aerospace General Hospital from March 2022 to January 2024 were selected as research subjects. The levels of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood of all patients were detected. At the same time, the nasal symptoms of patients with positive allergen test results were scored to explore the correlation between the test results of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood and nasal symptoms in patients with allergic rhinitis. Results Among 98 patients with allergic rhinitis, the main allergen types included house dust mites, dust mites, house dust, mold combination, animal hair dander combination, grass combination. The positive rates of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood were 46 cases(46.94%),and the positive rate of IgE was 52 cases(53.06%).Among this group of patients,38 patients(38.78%)were allergic to a single allergen, and 60 patients(61.22%)were allergic to two or more allergens. There was no significant difference in the positive rates of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood between different genders(P>0.05).The positive rates of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood of minors were higher than those of adult patients, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of positive allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis was significantly correlated with the nasal symptom score(P<0.05),indicating that the more positive allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis, the more severe the clinical symptoms. The highest positive intensity of eosinophils and IgE in the peripheral blood of patients with allergic rhinitis was not significantly correlated with the nasal symptom score(P>0.05).Conclusion The distribution characteristics of allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis can be clarified by detecting eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood, which can be used to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic rhinitis, and the patient's nasal symptoms are related to the levels of eosinophils and IgE in peripheral blood.
