Observation of the efficacy of bicyclol in treating hyperthyroidism and liver function damage caused by antithyroid drug therapy
Objective To investigate the efficacy of Bicyclol in treating hyperthyroidism and liver function damage caused by antithyroid drug therapy. Methods Sixty patients with hyperthyroidism admitted to our hospital between August 2022 and August 2023 were randomly divided into a compound group[treated with diammonium glycyrrhizinate enteric-coated capsules(Tianqing Ganping)]and a Bicyclol group(treated with Bicyclol),with 30 patients in each group. The TPO,TGAb,thyroid function indicators and liver function indicators of the two groups were compared. Results The levels of TPO and TGAb in the Bicyclol group were significantly lower than those in the compound group after treatment(P<0.05).The TSH levels in the Bicyclol group were higher, while FT4 and FT3 levels were lower compared to the compound group(P<0.05).The liver function indicators in the Bicyclol group were significantly lower than those in the compound group after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion Bicyclol has a significant therapeutic effect in patients with hyperthyroidism. It not only imposes a smaller burden on the liver, thereby protecting liver function, but also actively promotes the recovery of the patient's immune system, making the treatment process safer.
