Application of pharmaceutical services based on FMEA model in drug risk prevention for cancer chemotherapy patients
Objective To explore the application value of pharmaceutical services based on Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(FMEA)model in preventing medication risks in cancer chemotherapy patients. Methods 84 malignant tumor chemotherapy patients admitted to the oncology department of our hospital from March 2022 to February 2024 were randomly divided into a control group(n=42)and a study group(n=42)using a random number table. The control group received routine pharmaceutical services, while the study group received pharmaceutical services based on the FMEA model;compare the medication risks between two groups of patients(based on the occurrence of adverse drug reactions and medication errors);compare the quality of life of two groups of patients before and after intervention using the Cancer Patient Quality of Life Scale(QLQ-C30);and compare the satisfaction of two groups of patients with the pharmaceutical service model. Results Compared with the control group, the incidence of adverse drug reactions and medication errors in the study group was lower, with statistical differences(P<0.05);after intervention, the scores of each dimension in the QLQ-C30 scale increased in both groups, and the study group was higher than the control group, with statistical differences(P<0.05);compared with the control group, the satisfaction of patients in the study group was higher, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of pharmaceutical services based on the FMEA model in cancer chemotherapy patients can reduce medication risks, lower the incidence of adverse reactions, and improve patients'quality of life and satisfaction.
