Clinical study on the treatment of cold-damp type low back pain by Qihuang acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Qihuang needle combined with thunder fire moxibustion in the treatment of cold-damp type lumbago.Methods Sixty patients with cold-damp type lumbago admitted to Pingxiang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 who met the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into the control group(n=30)and the observation group(n=30).The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion,and the observation group was treated with Qihuang acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion.The pain level and dysfunction of the two groups were assessed by visual analog scale(VAS)and Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI).Results The VAS scores and ODI scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group on the 7th day after treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Qihuang needle combined with thunder fire moxibustion for the treatment of cold-damp type lumbago has obvious clinical efficacy,can significantly reduce pain,improve the patient's dysfunction,and the safety is good,it is worthy of further popularization and application.
