Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with high incidence in middle-aged and elderly people,which seriously affects the quality of life.The pathogenesis is unclear.With the rise of research in the field of microorganism-gut-brain axis,researchers have made in-depth research on the use of traditional Chinese medicine in trea-ting AD,and the role of traditional Chinese medicine in regulating intestinal flora in the occurrence and development of AD has been paid more and more attention.In this paper,the relationship between AD and intestinal flora,and the research sta-tus of regulating intestinal flora to improve AD by traditional Chinese medicine are reviewed,so as to provide reference for the research of prevention and treatment of AD by traditional Chinese medicine.
