Isolation and identification of chemical components from the leaves of Garcinia bracteata
Objective To explore and elucidate the chemical constituents of the leaves of Garcinia bracteata. Methods The compounds were isolated using various chromatographic techniques including silica gel column chromatography,thin-layer chromatography,medium-pressure liquid chromatography, and semi-preparative high-performance liquid chromatography.Their structures were established based on extensive spectroscopic data and physicochemical properties. Results From the MeOH extract of the leaves of G.bracteata, fourteen compounds were isolated and identified separately as garcibractatinone O(1),nigrolineaxanthone E(2),ugaxanthone(3),dulxanthone B(4),garceduxanthone(5),trapezifolixanthone A(6),loliolide(7),(6E,9S)-9-hydroxy-4,6-megastigmadien-3-one(8),gardeterpenone A(9),blumenol C(10),apigenin(11),morelloflavone(12),α-methyl linolenate(13),3-α-linolenoylglycerol 1-O-β-d-galactopyranoside(14).Conclusion Compound 1,a new xanthone that has not been reported in the literature,is named garcibactatinone O.Compounds 6,9,10,13,14 were isolated from the Garcinia genus for the first time, while compounds 2~5 were obtained from the plant for the first time.
