Coumarins and their derivatives belong to a class of compounds with the core structure of benzo-α-pyrone.They have garnered significant interest from researchers due to their potent antitumor activity.This paper presents a compre-hensive review of the recent research literature on coumarins and their derivatives in the context of antitumor activity,en-compassing their respective mechanisms of action.The objective is to establish a scientific foundation for advancing the re-search and development of coumarin and its derivatives,as well as to advocate for their utilization in cancer therapy.
