Study on Rheological Properties and Printability of 3D Printed Mortar
Firstly, the requirements of rheological properties of 3D printed mortar(3DPM)were introduced, the influence of water-binder ratio on the rheological parameters of 3DPM and its variation law were studied by conventional workability test method, and ordinary mortar workability test method, then, the relationship between rheological parameters and fluidity was analyzed. At last, the suitable range of rheological parameter values for 3DPM was determined by a 3D printer, the results were compared with other literature results. The results show that the time loss of flowability of 3DPM was lower than 5%in 30min,showing better open time. The water to binder ratio has a great effect on the yield stress and thixotropy of 3DPM but a limited effect on plastic viscosity. The yield stress and thixotropic loop area increased by 96.51%and 58.52%,respectively,when the water to binder ratio changes from 0.30 to 0.26.There is a good linear relationship between the flowability and the yield stress or thixotropy of 3DPM.In this study, the flowability and yield stress of the mortar suitable for printing were in the range of 205~215mm and 102~138Pa,respectively.
