Research Progress on Seismic Performance of Modular Concrete Structures
The modular concrete structure is a type of concrete structure that is based on three-dimensional modules prefabricated in factory and assembled in site,and has properties of high prefabrication ratio,reduced construction period,and good quality control.In this paper,the modular concrete structures are categorized into three types,i.e.,module units fully resisting,partially resisting,and not resisting the vertical and lateral loads of the overall structure.The characteristics of three types of modular concrete structures and typical connections are introduced.The state-of-art studies are presented on the seismic performance and the application of seismic mitigation and isolation techniques in modular concrete structures.Then,the latest developments are summarized on technical standards and engineering application of modular concrete structures at home and abroad.At last,the research directions of modular concrete structures are presented.
